Very well designed and built. Definitely their best product on the market. It is slimmer than their older versions and has a fantastic long battery life.

I added a 2 gig memory module and the netbook is fast enough to run photo shop and streaming videos. Nice bright screen and stereo audio is great with a headset. Recommend highly.

This netbook is absolutely perfect for teaching! It's not bulky, doesn't weigh very much, in fact it fits in my pocketbook. Delivery and product is outstanding! Thanx.

The first time I turned on the computer it worked great. I turned it off and when I tried to start it again it went to the DOS screen and said it needed a boot disk in order to start up. Since I didn't have a boot disk I finally hit ctl-alt-del and it booted right up. I thought this might be a fluke but I turned it off and on several times and got the same stupid request on the DOS screen. I sent it back!!!

i bought this for my wife. It is easy to use. I would recommend that you purchase a USB mouse at the same time.

Hubby and I love this netbook. We purchased it primarily for the size/portability and the battery life and it's a winner on both counts. This thing will run for hours and hours without a charge, which is so convenient. It's so nice and tiny and easy to take anywhere and everywhere. Sure you can't play games on it or do anything fancy, but that isn't what it's for. Haven't regretted this purchase for a moment.

We bought this little gem to take on a 2 week car trip. It is fabulous. I use an imac at home but have used a pc before so there was no getting used to it. I purposely got the unit with windows xp as the reviews were not favorable for me for windows 7. The thing goes for over 9 hours (no kidding) on the 6 cell battery. It picks up wireless from the motels with ease.
There are many versions of this unit so shop carefully for the features you want/need. this one fills all of mine.

My little red Acer is amazing. It's fast with loading up and with the internet. It's a perfect little net book. Has long battery life!

I've been considering buying a netbook for several weeks. I've read all the reviews, and came to the conclusion that Acer was probably the best brand for the price. But I wasn't sold on the Windows 7 Starter OS. Then I found this model with the 6 cell battery and the XP operating system. I bought it today with expected arrival on Wednesday. I'll update my review after I receive the product and have a chance to put it through its paces. Hope I'll be able to maintain the 5 Star rating like the other reviewers.

Update
I'd been trying to talk my self out of this purchase but finally decided to take the plunge when I saw the red color go on sale for $300. Product was delivered right on time. I was excited to get it set up so we could use it in the family room to check email and to browse the net when TV got boring. The trouble started when I had difficultly connecting to my home network. Not a problem, I should be able to contact Acer customer service for help, right? Wrong. They were entirely unhelpful. Thankfully I was able to contact a friend who was able to resolve the problem over the phone for me.

I like the product and feel that I made a wise purchasing decision. But I was sorely tempted to return the netbook for a refund after my experience with Acer customer service. Hopefully I won't need to contact them again.

I'd recommend this item to anyone who is looking for a notebook. It is stylish, very light, and surprisingly quick. And the red color is nice. Since I wanted a notebook with XP rather than Win7, this fit the bill nicely. As always, Amazon has an incredible selection and provided quick shipping.

Bought for daughter......she loves it! Nice looking and works as advertised. Would definately recommend this item.
