I love this netbook. Its small enough that i can take it anywhere but not so small that i cant see the screen. I adapted very well to the keys that are smaller and closer together.. and dont have any problems with it. Everything loads up quickly and the colors are great. The battery does die out rather quickly but that is why it is good to bring the charger with you when you go places.. the webcam works nicely too. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is under a budget and needs a laptop.

Great find, Great buy! This Acer is Ultra Thin and the perfect tool for students. It only weighs two pounds and comes in an arrangement of colors for different styles. I really enjoy this product because it is wifi ready and can easily fit into my purse or totebag. The webcam is nice and it has energy star, meaning that it is energy efficient. These netbooks have windows xp instead of vista which is another plus. I am so happy that I bought this product. The only negative thing is the acer company is bad at helping customers when something needs to be fixed. The customer representatives have a language barrier that makes it difficult to communicate. You will need more than a warranty with this product and you will never get a discount on another product from acer.

I bought this for my 8 yr old for Christmas. While, she has not gotten it yet, I have have played with it quite a bit. I bought an extra gig of memory for it and it zips around the internet. She is going to love it! It is light and small, just perfect for her little hands. I personally find the keyboard a bit cramped and have a harder time typing on the small keyboard.
UPDATE: Gave it to her on xmas eve, very dissappointed the screen resolution does not go high enough so that she can play on Webkinz. The main reason we bought this was for her to be able to play on her online games. Webkinz will NOT work with this netbook.

I'm a System Engineer. Love the brand ASUS and this is a gift for my mother... She love's it. Not to much to say about this item. Seen one seen them all... but ASUS is a great brand

I bought this for my daughter. She hasn't put it down since she got it.

It's not exactly fast, but it does what she needs. It does a good job with online video like NETFLIX.

It's lightweight and the battery life is good; so she takes it everywhere. Definitely a good buy.

I was able to get this netbook for less on CyberMonday from another retailer. I have my opinions about it.

First, it's cute and very lightweight. Lighter than my purse and its contents.

Next, it would probably be a good alternative to larger laptops while traveling. I haven't traveled since I purchased it but I've traveled with larger laptops that are bigger and heavier.

Finally, it's a great starter for a student (unless you get a great deal on another laptop, used or new).

Now the bad news.

The wireless range isn't the greatest. At work I have sat it next to another, much older tablet PC (Gateway) and while the Gateway gets a good signal, this one doesn't. I either get a very low or no signal. Since I can't hard wire myself to the school's network (I'm a teacher) this is a bit frustrating.

Slower than older laptops that I've owned in the past. Over the last 8-10 years I've owned about 6 or 7 laptops (and numerous desktops). I've also worked with Macs so I've had experience with both platforms. This netbook processor reminds me of the sluggish Celeron processer. The RAM could probably use some upgrading but should I have to do that to get a little va-voom in my new friend?

No DVD. No CD. None. Now I understand the role of a netbook isn't meant to be a powerhorse and I also understand that one of the main reasons it is able to be so small and lightweight is by excluding a DVD/CD rom. I get it. But you have to install software somehow (other than downloading, of course). Maybe I should be able to take the software disk and copy it onto a USB...but I highly doubt that with the way software is being written today.

Overall I would say this is a good, secondary, on-the-go machine. No big jobs for this little gal!

I read a lot of great reviews on this item and felt more safe that this was from Target, a store i was familiar with. I was so excited to get a netbook computer and love pink so thought this one would be great. I do love it, it connects wireless to the internet pretty quick. If you don't mind having a cute little computer i think this would be perfect for anyone! I have had it for about a month now and love it. I wanted one with windows xp on it rather then windows 7 as i have heard better things about windows xp and more familiar with that. Great item, glad i got it!

Without being technical, because you can read the spec on the laptop, let me just say that this thing is so cool! If you love pink, and you are in the market for a laptop, you won't go wrong with this one. I love it first for being pink and second for having Microsoft XP. The computer is great. I have had no problems whatsoever and am so glad I made the purchase. The only negative I could find is the short battery life but I knew that when I bought it. This laptop sits on my desk and stays plugged up, so no problems here. BUT - if you depend on battery time beyond 3 hrs (when away from a charger) - you better purchase the additional larger battery.

This product was perfect for my daughter for Christmas. It was received as promised in a timely manner and in excellent condition. We paid a fair price for it and are very pleased with its performance. This is the 3rd of this item we have purchased, and find Acer netbooks to be of the best quality and value!
