I have had my computer for about three months and use it everyday. I manage two web sites, create and edit movies, manage my finances, surf the internet, and much more. This computer has met all my expectations and more. It has plenty of RAM memory and is easy to use. However, some software will not work properly with the 64 bit version of Windows Vista. I personally do not like the mouse pad and purchased a bluetooth mouse to use with my computer. The hard drive could be a little bigger for me, but over all I love my computer and would recommend it in a heart beat. My mother bought one after I did and she loves hers. We are able to video conference and that is a joy. I did some research on Acer before purchasing my computer and found it to be a good company. I have not had any issues so far with my computer. Don't be afraid to purchase this computer for your needs, I believe you will be pleased, just as I am.

I have used this computer for about three weeks and love it so far. The computer comes with a couple Acer programs that are very useful, my favorite being Acer GridVista. This allows you to divide up your screen and pin windows to each division. Since the computer is a wide screen, I can easily write about a set of data that is pinned to the right on a word processing document pinned to the left while still having both large enough to read. The monitor is crisp, and the webcam more than enough for clear video chat. My only problem this far is that the computer has frozen on me twice when i have left it alone for a couple of hours. Upon restart, it is fine. I would suggest this machine to anyone, especially those who need to frequently write about documents online, in PDF, PowerPoint or Excel. Using the Acer Grid program to prevent flipping back and forth is a huge time/frustration saver. I would also suggest turning off the mouse pad zoom feature immediately, it is a tad annoying.

I like Acer products EXCEPT for the fact that I had to shell out shipping costs twice because the laptop's screen was flickering badly after just 3 months.

AND, they didn't fix it right and/or good enough (the first time) because 5 months later, they had to fix it again as it had gotten extremely bad.

This was a very bad sign of "initial quality." I would buy another IF I felt they could make a solid product and provide solid service when the products fails.

I bought one of these for gaming and coding, which crashed before I was even able to complete the online registration. After that, each attempt to restart the computer resulted in it powering itself off before booting. I was more than willing to allow for the possibility that it was just a fluke and requested a replacement which Amazon helped me with in a friendly, time efficient manner. After having the new machine for less than 3 days, it pulled the same stunt. I hit the power button, heard the fan start and the drive spin for just a second before the power indicator went off. This made me rather sad because it really is an attractive unit and the specs suggest a lot of potential, but ultimately I found this machine unreliable...at best.

This is a great computer. I searched and searched for a new laptop. One that was user friendly, fast, and could hold a lot of memory. The Acer Aspire 5735-6694 is a great computer. I read a lot of reviews on this model and I compared them to the Acer with the 8 hour battery. I found a lot of people saying the 8 hour battery was not as fast as the this one. The battery life is only 3 hours but the 10 key, the speed and the design of this computer is worth it. It is light weight but a big screen. The mouse pad is very sensitive I had to turn of the pinch function it was not worth the headache. Also, many reviews complained about the DVD opening on it own when you remove the adapter plug, but that's because the button is right next to outlet and my knuckle, or finger touches it.

My complaints I bought this computer believing and I read I would be able to receive the windows 7 upgrade but its looking like the model does not qualify, according to Acer. 2. It does not come with Microsoft Office I have to buy it, and 3. there is a ton of bloat wear I'm still trying to remove. 4, The speaker are not good but with head phones it fine

I have had my computer now for three weeks and am very pleased with it. It is fast, convenient and the numeric keypad is really nice to have. The picture is sharp, the colors are bright and the screen surprisingly large. It is a sharp looking computer, and the dark blue case seems to attract a lot of attention at the library.
On the negative side, an additional USB port would be nice- there are three only, and they are located along with other ports on the side of the computer- the back would have been easier and less messy.
The psitioning of the number pad makes using the keypad a little ackward. A smaller number pad would have served just as well and would have eliminated this problem. Otherwise though, its been great so far.

I purchased my Acer about 3 weeks ago and am very happy with it's quality and performance. The number pad on the keyboard is a plus for me in my use and the display is of perfect size. Fits nicely in my case (built for 16" machines) and isn't too heavy to carry in my travels.

Easy to get up and running - great screen and good performance. Good value for money and performs as advertised. Only criticism is that the glossy case shows finger prints and is difficult to keep clean.

I love my new Acer! It's convenient to use.. I just had to turn off my pinch pointer or something like that.. that automatically zooms the screen on the touch pad.. that was a bit annoying.. so when i turned it off.. all was good :)

I would give it a 5 star but the laptop is a bit heavy :(

I have this laptop over two weeks and it very good. I like the n-draft wireless feature as i can go any where in the house and access the internet . I can also access my neighhbour internet. Its vey fast,and light weight,making it easy to move around.
