Well, it's not the worst thing in the world for $400. But the guy at Frys stated it definitely would be upgradable for free to Windows 7, but surprise, Acer support is telling me it's NOT eligible. No reason, just it doesn't happen to be on their list, even though it is a Vista Home Premium installation.
That's pretty crappy. I'm still hoping to be able to shame them into honoring that offer.
It rates OK on the Vista Experience rating, except for the "gaming graphics" category which is feeble. Since I don't do any gaming on it, I'm willing to put up with that.

I have the 5520, the computer is slow. The cd drive ended up being glitchy and overheated my computer. Had to have the cd drive removed, now theres a gaping hole in my computer. The usb drives work like crap and don't recognize a device that worked last time I booted up the computer. Freezes a lot, piece of junk.

This laptop has been going strong for over a year. It's not the fastest out there, but I don't notice the lack of speed often. Plus, it has been dragged all over the planet and is still going strong.
