Let me start by saying I bought my Aspire 8920G while in Germany and of course it came in the German language, but that is not a problem with me. This particular laptop has fingerprint recognition where you set which finger you will use to log in. You can register one finger or all ten, and when you choose this method for logging in a password is no longer needed. The design of the screen gives it more of that wide screen look and feel, which makes viewing easy on the eyes and gives the product that WOW look. The controls for DVD, movie, Blu-ray, and listening to music easy to control and a snap to use. The controls are touch sensitive because all you have to do is drag your finger and the backlight is very easy on the eyes. The product also comes with 5.1 dolby surround sound, four usb slots with two located on the right side and two on the left side of the laptop. You can even pair the laptop with your bluetooth phone, as I have my blackberry paired up making it easy to transfer files to and from microsoft office. I spent a lot of money for this Acer Aspire 8920G and have had nothing but problems. I've called Technical Suport numerous times (after a serious Web search to actually find the 800 number), reinstalled the Windows Vista Ultimate OS at least twice and the system continues to hang up. I even paid to ship it to Acer repair and they returned it saying they couldn't duplicate the problem. Not only that, but Windows didn't even start up properly after they returned it! I've been using computers for 30 years and have never had this many problems! I'm buying another Dell next time (unless they've become unreliable too)!

If the bios does not offer a method to enable VT technology, then why would someone buy an ACER laptop?

In Windows 7, VT must be enabled to run in XP Mode (which is cool, if you have some old or new app that requires XP).

Paying this much money for any computer that is not ready for all of the features of the next OS, seems foolish. So, I suggest you ask ACER if their computer offers all of the features supported by the Intel Processor, like Virtualization Technology before you buy.
