Did you plug the keyboard/mouse receiver into one of the USB ports on the lower right side of the monitor?. Remove the cover on the under side of the mouse and the keyboard, insert a battery into each. Right next to the battery in the mouse, you will see the the wireless receiver, remove it and plug it into the USB port on the monitor, that should do it. If it does not, then you might have a defective keyboard or receiver. Hope this helps.

Android devices won't work as easily to stream and share network drives as a couple of Windows devices would.

Hello. I'm not sure if it is capable of external hard drive usage. This is an Android Tablet, not a pc so I'm not sure of its full, tech capabilities. There should be a User Guide in the packaging when you received this item. If your question is not answered after review of guide, please contact Acer Customer Service at: www.acersupport.com or (866) 695-2237. I must say...I have yet to use all of its features -- I've had it almost 8 months and have not downloaded its disc. I only use it for Internet, review/answer emails or other simple stuff. Otherwise, I am so pleased with this gadget. The vivid colors, touchscreen, ergonomic key board, and large print.

If you mean to wireless?? not sure. I think you need to check with your cable. With my last project I needed the wireless codes to hook up. Just check first is your best option.

Sure but it will need to be a wireless web connected, using one of the Android print apps. Newer Epson and HP printers all offer Android web printing to your wireless connected printers.

I ordered this unit for my husband who has vision problems. No, it doesn't seem to have a battery. He uses it plugged into the wall as a tablet after removing the back support that makes a stand for it to be used as a monitor. He's quite happy with it so far.
