I am supprised how much negative comment has been written.

As for the 3d effect itself, it is very impressive with very few instances of ghosting, and even when there is you really have to be looking to notice it.

This monitor has an absolutely brilliant 3D image, it works, it works well, and is nearly effortless to setup and use with Nvidia 3D vision.

I always start off with 5 stars and take off stars for certain "cons". In this case, I can not rightly give the HN274H 5 stars because I specifically bought this monitor for the 3D. The 27" was just a bonus. In order to reduce the ghosting, you have to set the Nvidia Control Program's 3D depth (or the depth setting) to the absolute minimum (0%) or with minimal ghosting, around 4%. This is unacceptable IMHO. If you have the depth setting at default or higher (say 20% or more) then the 3D really pops and is in your face, but there is significant image doubling - or ghosting. I used the 3D test application you launch from the control panel as the benchmark. This is probably the best 3D indicator or benchmark that I've seen. Not only does it show depth, but the Nvidia Eye really comes out of the monitor, almost hovering in front of you like a hologram. When seen on my 150" screen via 3D projector, this Eye stands out about 5 feet from the screen and is 8 to 9 feet wide. Very impressive. But regarding the HN274H's 3D, I'm a little disappointed that I have to set the depth setting to the bare minimum to get rid of the ghosting. With the depth setting so low, it sort of defeats the purpose of true 3D. Most animated 2D movies or 2D games at 1080p look pretty good without the need for 3D glasses, so at bare minimum 3D depth, it's only slightly better than this, IMHO. Not to say this is really bad, but this monitor has more 3D potential if it wasn't for the significant ghosting when you increase the depth field. :(

I also tested the 3D with my favorite game, Fallout 3, and the movie Rio 3D. Fallout 3 was really good. Much better than my 150" screen and 3D projector because that one could only do 1280 x 720, whereas the HN274H played the game in 1920 x 1080.

I purchased this monitor back in mid April. I'v read a lot of reviews about it since then. I am supprised how much negative comment has been written.

This monitor is fantastic. It is the ONLY 27 inch 3D monitor on the market. I can't see any problems with the color and neither can anyone that I've shown the monitor. I bought and extra pair of Nvidia 3D glasses so that I can share the totally imersive experiance of this monitor.

I play World of Warcraft. With this monitor it is like playing in a doll house. The characters are little animated statues. Their detail is ultra fine. Not only does the screen pop out at you but it also has great depth. You can look past the edge of the monitor into the background.

I am using an EVGA GTX 470 with the supplied dual DVI cable. Nvidia control panel reports 1920 X 1080 at 120 hz in 2D mode.

I have purchased and watched the following 3D Blue Ray movies:

Tron
Legend of the Guardians
Sanctum

Tron was ok, but Legends and Sanctum blew me away. There is a Road Runner cartoon on the Legends disk. Absolutely Fantastic.

I have a large collection of Blue Ray movies. With this monitor I see detail I didn't see before. Colors are bright and flesh tones are accurate.

As I write this review the monitor has disappeared from the market. I saw one refurb listed on ebay for $800. That may seem like a ripoff since the monitor sold for $700 in April but if your lucky enough to get it you will think it is worth it.

I don't see any other 27" 1080P dual DVI 120 hz monitors out there. I'm glad I'v got mine.

Update: I've had this monitor now since April 2011. Upgraded my video to a GTX-670. This monitor still amazes me.

Bought this for $700 = tax and shipping on Newegg a month ago, and it was worth every penny.
Here's my review there
Pros: I've been waiting patiently and checking the internet constantly for over a year for a 27" 3D Vision monitor to come out, ever since Asus teased us last year. Finally I now have the monitor of my dreams and it exceeds all of my expectations. The build quality on this monitor is fantastic. I came from the Alienware AW2310 and this monitor blows it away. The ghosting is the least I've seen, and the size is perfect. With the widescreen view on this baby the immersion level is unreal. I really like the dot pitch, there is no "tearing" of the pixels that I really disliked about the Alienware. This monitor is awesome, and I am stoked because products like this will be driving the 3D market and I love 3D.

Cons: The stand is only tilt adjustable, but you can connect a vesa stand which I did.

Other Thoughts: I use this with Two GTX470's Overclocked in SLI

I've owned 4 different 3D Monitor sets over the years, and I'd have to rank this one at the top. With respect to 3D capabilities, the 3D image is clear, with very little ghosting and no flicker. The monitor also supports an almost painfully high brightness level, which is useful for compensating for the shaded 3D classes. In fact, we had to turn the brightness way down for non-3D viewing.

The 27-inch screen is admirably large. The colors, brightness, and contrast are excellent. It's a pleasing monitor to use even when you're not using the 3D function.

The only negatives I've found are:
1) Stand only allows for adjusting the Tilt. I had to put the whole monitor on a book in order to raise it a couple of inches.
2) Monitor is slow (2-4 seconds) to come on when waking from sleep mode. Not a major problem, but it is noticeable.

All in all, I still have to give this monitor 5 stars. The image quality and 3D capabilities are the best I've owned to date. It is a bit pricey (includes the NVidia glasses, etc.), but setup was painless; I downloaded/installed the latest NVidia drivers and everything just worked.
