The TravelMate 8571, 8471 and 8371 are ultra-thin mobile workhorse notebooks designed for prolonged on-the-go business use.   The six-cell battery provides up to eight hours of power when Acer PowerSmart Manager is enabled and depending on configuration and usage.

 

A choice of operating systems comes with each model. Windows 7 Professional is pre-installed, or the user can overwrite it with Windows XP Professional, provided on a CD.

 

The wide keys of the Acer FineTouch keyboard allow for more comfortable typing, while the multi-gesture touchpad   lets users navigate, zoom and scroll with remarkable ease.   A touchpad lock prevents accidental cursor movement.
