This projecter Is AWSOME,

First things first this projector will give you the same picture quality of a $1500.00 - $2000.00 projector. It is durable and looks great in my living room. I get an awesome picture in the day time and even better at night. The fact that the picture is good in the daylight makes this a wonderful buy. Any projector you find with 2000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2000:1 that is under $800.00 is a steal. Acer is an off brand but they deliver top quality. The best part is you HD TV and movies at a fraction of the cost. My wife and I love playing Xbox 360 on 9-foot screen there is nothing like HD video games. Most HD TV's start at $800.00 for a 27 inch which will burn out or get dead pixels in 2 -3 years with a projector like this one you start with a low cost with great value and if the bulb goes out after about 4,000 hours /166 days of straight use with out cutting it off replace the bulb for $150.00 - $200.00 bucks and you still save over a HD TV. Once again my Xbox 360 games look better with this projector than any HD TV I have ever seen them on. All I can say is WOW. HD up to 1080i 1080p (grapes to grape juice) is over rated any way. It also comes with a cool carrying case and all of the adaptors you need but hdmi.

The picture is great even at daylight. You can hook it up to your DVD player and enjoy a real movie experience right at home. The repalcement bulbs are cheaper than other brands. This is a great buy.

I acquired recently my Acer PD100 and until now I'm very happy with my purchase. The bright is sensational and the interface for conections is very frendly.

Good value for your money,

I did a large research before buying this projector. Works perfect for me. As for displaying data, worksheets and bussiness presentations, this is it. Good definition and resolution, poor color fidelity, low brighteness. If you're looking for very good definition, good color fidelity or more brighteness, be willing to pay at least 200 more dollars.

Great !,
This review is from: Acer PD100 DLP Projector 4.8 Pounds (Office Product)
I probably would not own a projector if I hadn't found this one so reasonably priced. We use it to show movies outside on a 13' X 25' custom made screen and inside on the wall 8 X 12. Although we have found this projector does best with the Animated movies because of the vivid colors.

I use this product to watch dvd or computer movies. No complaint at this regard: Nearly "film like" quality image. Ddvd native resolution is 640x480. Why shoud I pay more for resolution I am not goin to use? In addition, DLP seems to put pixels so attached that you wouldnt note the "srceen effect" as you would with lcd; this amazed me. If your case is dvd watching this device works prety well. I payed $615 last december. Then a friend of mine was going to buy it but Amazon had rised the price to $850. What happend? Other internet shops are offering it below $600. Amazon please check your price: Seems out of the market.

...my lamp just burned out at 390 hours, after four months of use. Ouch. The manufacturer will only replace the lamp within 90 days, so I'm pretty much out of luck short of buying a new lamp.
On the plus side, the image is fantastic, and I never even noticed the 'rainbow' effect that other reviewers have seen. It is certainly a good projector for the money, but I wish I would have known I was going to have to dump an extra $200 into it within the first six months!

So far, its being a good equipment for the price i paid, the brightness its good and the resolution is aceptable.
I hope it could work at least for one year. The size is not properly to travel, so the weight is ok but the size not.

RAINBOWS killed an otherwise great machine,
This review is from: Acer PD100 DLP Projector 4.8 Pounds (Office Product)
Pros:
VERY quiet operation. Cools down quickly. The machine is VERY lightweight, and seems as well built as any in this price range. The company didn't skimp on the included cords, and a component-to-VGA adapter. Each cord even comes with a little velcro strap to keep them tidy. I returned this projector to Amazon, and the process was smooth and painless. Cons: RAINBOWS GALORE! If you are sensitive to them, don't buy this one- I suspect that it has a slow color wheel. (Newer, faster DLPs supposedly don't suffer from the rainbows.) On this machine, black-and-white movies and anything with subtitles are unwatchable. The focus is rather soft and clunky, and, of course, the resolution is low. The "Hide" feature blacks out the screen promptly, but when pressed again, shows the start-up screen for four seconds while the projector acquires the signal again (even with "Signal Lock" on). I would rather it showed black until it was ready to continue, though I suppose you could upload your own all-black start-up screen (a nice feature with this model). |
