I needed a specific AC adapter for my laptop and was having trouble finding one at a reasonable price that would be a quality product. I originally purchased an inexpensive power supply cord. It didn't even work by the time I received it. So, this time I went for the OEM model and put out an extra $15. Well worth the money, it works as expected and I haven't had any problems at all. Pay the extra money for the reliable product.
