This review is from: The Ache of Appetite (Paperback)
With countless previous works of poetry, Rachel Hadas is no stronger to the party of poetry composition. "The Ache of Appetite" is a collection of poetry form Rachel Hadas, her eleventh volume published. With many awards won, "The Ache of Appetite" will give readers an understanding of why Hadas has been acclaimed by her peers. "The Pilot Light": The angers flare up suddenly, blue flames./Sometimes I can predict what sets one off,/and the dismal precision of this knowledge/angers me afresh://the innocent struck match/and what ti chances this time to ignite;/and underlying every exchange,/meek, deceptive, low, the pilot light.
