A great dance groove.
I haven't as of yet come across another album with such a wonderfully mellow techno-jazz beat. One of the best music purchases I've ever blindly bought. Especially good for those listeners who enjoy a hauntingly beautiful women's voice laced throughout their beats. Cannot reccomend this album strongly enough!!

Volume 2=Second place
More male vocals and hip-hop influence on this than "The Acid Jazz Test, Volume 1", so if the previous reviews here appeal to you, you will be even happier with "Vol. 1," which includes better material by some of the same artists: instead of "Do the Right Thing" here, volume 1 has "Set Me Free" by the Bygraves, perhaps their finest...

I was turned on to this CD several years ago by a friend who is a musician. I had an old tape of this recording and was so excited to find the CD here on Amazon. This CD is mellow, sexy, funky and political. If you've ever thought of trying acid jazz, try this.

Jhelisa's "All I Need" and Karime Kendra's "Never Give Up" are two other standouts on volume 1. All three feature tasty female vocalists over a thick groove. Here the top tracks are Sound Assembly's "Stoned Again" and Brooklyn Funk Essentials' "Stickman"
