About the Author

C. D. Shelton, a Professor of Biology has inspired college students for many years by sharing his passion and knowledge for plant life, nature, medical and health related topics.

He began writing novels after being inspired by motivational speaker, Earl Nightingale's CD entitled Lead the Field. The CD was a Christmas gift in 2008. It wasn't until then that he discovered his hidden talent and love of writing.

Since then, C.D. Shelton has written ten novels (five published), one non-fiction kid's book with an accompanying workbook for educators. And most recently, he has written several short ebooks on different health related topics.

The world of medicine has changed, and now for every thing they want to give you another pill. I have now moved away from accepting this as the first answer and trying natural remedies and behavioral changes first before adding another pill. The methods in this book were most helpful, and after now using on the methods for 6 weeks, and somewhat modifying my diet (eliminating soda and carbonation) the reflux has disappeared and I am not on medication for it. My ENT doc and I are doing monthly conferences to make sure the symptoms do not recur, but happily I can report he supports the road I have chosen. I recommend this book for people who wish to try alternatives to medications first.

There's nothing much here. Nothing new. I feel that I wasted my monthly free Kindle rental. There is a small mention about reflux but this really has only some simple tips on Heartburn - which you can find on the internet. If your looking for info on reflux - this is not the book for you.

Contains very basic information and is also very short. I read it in about 15 minutes. Not worth the money I paid so I returned it.

Ever wondered what causes heartburns? " Heartburn; tips to stop acid reflux using simple natural remedies", breaks down any question you may have about heartburns. Primarily, this book introduces the history, and beginning of heartburns. I learn that heart burn has nothing to do with the heart, but the symptoms are similar to a heart attack. Many of us don't know about natural remedies, and believe that over-the-counter medication can easily solve the problem. This book points the effects that medication has towards the body. Antacids such as Alka-Seltzer use a different combination of three basic salts, which have different side-effects. Highly recommend this book. Many are not aware of alternative remedies that are out there.

Great ebook for people like myself that suffer from heartburn, and would rather try natural remedies than prescribed or over the counter medication. This ebook explains what causes heartburn, explains why over the counter medication is bad for your body, and how natural remedies are better. Great ebook very informative. I would definitely recommend it.

This book explains in great detail what exactly is heartburn. It made me more aware of over the counter medication because they can never get rid of the problem completely. This book also provides information on the side effects that the treatments might bring to the human body. Overall, a great book with full of information.

My husband was diagnosed with GERD, in the ER last night. I was looking for clear, simple information to help him get started on managing this. This book is short, concise, and very helpful. It gives you a nice list of things he should avoid, as well as many tips for non-prescription remedies.
