The Melismatics deliver the goods on the Acid Test, their 4th release to date. Pop sensibility, strong hooks, super-tight playing, hard-edge guitar, powerful rhythms... this release delivers it all.

Produced by John Fields (Switchfoot, Jimmy Eats World, Soul Asylum) the sonic quality is very crisp. This is the first release featuring Pony on vocals, guitar and keys. Pony and (husband) Ryan Smith trade off vocals during most of fthe songs which adds a nice contrast and for some great harmonies.

If you're looking for the meaning of rock n Roll in 2008 (and beyond) go no further. I think that you will not be disappointed.

this album rocks on every single track - there are no filler songs here. It's a great compilation of power pop songs that are fun to listen to. A great band to see in person if you can!

"The Acid Test" is a record you must own! "Digging Deep" is a very meaningful track that I sing over and over during long runs. "Modern Machines" is another favorite. this is A great album by an indie band that your kids will love as well as you! my 6 year old rocks out to "Soul Sucker" all the time!
