AcneFree 24-Hour Acne Clearing System

AcneFree 24-Hour Acne Clearing System performs as well as Proactiv

AcneFree is the only brand that makes acne clearing systems formulated with Advanced Micro-Benzoyl Peroxide: a key ingredient designed to work faster and penetrate deeper into pores. AcneFree 24 Hour Acne Clearing System is clinically proven to be as effective as Proactiv 3-step System*, and includes Oil-free Purifying Cleanser, Renewing Toner and Repair Lotion. Just 3 simple steps 2x a day for clearer skin, with visible results in just 1 - 3 days!

*The clinical study was conducted on 170 panelists (85 panelists per arm) aged 12-45 at Stephens & Associates, Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO and Dallas, TX in Feb-March 2014. Panelists were randomized between the two treatment groups to ensure an equal distribution of acne severity between the two treatment groups.

I must have used at least 30 different acne washes, creams, and medications over the past ten years. I tried using a Benzoyl Peroxide cream in the past and it irritated my skin and only slightly helped with my acne so I was skeptical to try this wash even though it had good reviews.

Well, I don't know if its this brand or just that it is not the cream version, but this wash not only does not irritate my skin but my face has also cleared up almost completely.

I've been using this system in conjunction with Treeactiv which works brilliantly for spot treatment; TreeActiv+ Tea Tree Oil Acne Solution for Advanced Acne Treatment ★ All Natural Acne Spot Treatment ★ Blemishes Gone or Your Money Back!.

Literally if I feel a zit coming on this oil will make it go away before it fully forms into a whitehead. I'd suggest everyone with acne prone skin keep these products in their cabinet at home. They've worked for me, hopefully they can work for you too!

I started using Proactiv several years ago. I loved the way it cleared up my acne and made my skin feel, but didn't love the high price tag that came with it. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I decided to try this Acnefree Clearing System. Alas, after only a couple of weeks usage, my skin started breaking out again. I decided to give it a little more time, but after using it for a full month, I was getting acne breakouts consistently. That's when I decided to return to Proactiv. It's unfortunate because this system is so much cheaper than Proactiv, but it just does not work for me. Maybe it has something to do with one's skin, because I see where a number of people have had success with this product, while others, like myself, did not.

I started using AcneFree Sensitive about a month and a half ago. I started out using it twice a day and noticed my skin got very dry so I cut back to once a day. Which made the product pretty useless, but I kept using it on a daily basis. I just don't like to waste money. While using the product daily, I had a severe breakout on my face at about the corners of my lips, on each side were 7 - 10 pimples clustered together. I started focusing on that area with absolutely no result and only dried my mouth area out to the point of cracking. I still have a couple of the pimples which finally started to go away after using a completely different product.

Because of the dry painful skin on my face, I stopped using this product. I workout daily and couldn't handle getting sweaty and being in pain. It has now been about 5 days since I stopped using this product and I still have extremely dry, painful, and tender skin at the corners of my eyes. I also must mention that I have been using another moisturizer since I began using AcneFree to help combat the dry skin. I now have been putting that on 3 times a day to help repair my skin.

Bought this from Walgreen a moment back and It did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop my acne. If anything, it made my face worse. My acne actually wasn't so bad, i only had a few bumps on my left cheek and a few on my forehead. But after a week of using this, my face darkened, literally about 3 shades darker and being Asian, I was so scared my normal skin wont back and it didn't as long as I was using this. It dried out my lips too and that took a while to heal. It also made my skin even more sensitive to the Sun and when I realised I should stop, things got to the point where I got depressed. More pimples surfaced on my face. All over my forehead and all around my face. I deeply DO NOT recommend the product. Run away.

Personally I really liked the normal one, I have acne prone skin mostly on my chin and the normal version cleared it up great. For some reason I thought I would be doing my self a favor buying the stronger kind. Not at all. This dried my face out causing it to produce more oil and break out more than before, my cheeks, chin and upper lip.

This is my first acne treatment system purchase, so I bought the sensitive skin version just to be safe, even though my skin has never been especially sensitive. What a mistake! After just three uses, the skin on my face is swollen, red, rough and itchy. Nowhere on the packaging does it say to do a spot test before using it all over your face, but it should. Now I have to walk around looking like I had a bad chemical peel. It seems to have done its work on the pimples I had, so I guess it's effective in that way, but I gave it a one-star rating because it specifically states on the box that it is "gentle on easily irritated skin," and doesn't advise the user to test it first. This stuff is going back to the store.

I am in my mid-40s and have been suffering from ever-worsening acne for some years. It was much worse than when I was in my teens, and had gotten to the point where I felt truly embarrassed about my skin. It was especially bad with the hormonal fluctuations of my menstrual cycle. I tried MANY different products, both over the counter and prescribed by my doctor. Nothing seemed to make the slightest difference. I had tried Pro-Active, as well -- nothing. Acne Free Sensitive has made a HUGE improvement in my skin! I won't say it is perfect all the time, but blemishes are much fewer, smaller and clear up much faster, without leaving a mark. It worked better when I started being fairly liberal with the step 3 (benzoil peroxide) cream. My one complaint is that you can't buy each product seperately. I don't need a lot of moisturizer, so I always have lots of that, but run out of the other things. Bottom line: I think everyone's skin is very individual, so this product may not work for you -- but lordy, I sure am grateful it has worked so well for me! Good luck.

UPDATE: This product has now been changed. The new one comes with a "toner", a scrub and the acne cream. I was worried about not having any moisturizer (I didn't use a lot of it, but some), but the new acne cream seems to have moisturizer in it. The scrub has little "beads" in it, which I'm not crazy about, as you have to be very careful not to rinse them into your eyes. I also think you could irritate your skin if you scrubbed too hard with them. I don't use the toner at all -- I spoke to an excellent dermatologist about "toners" and he said they do nothing whatsoever. I am happy to report that I am still having good results just using the scrub (not rubbing too hard) and the cream.
