This is one of the best cd's I've heard in a long time. The concept is great: arrange classic electronic music songs for a string sextet. It is amazing to hear the great textures and interpretations this group can give to songs from orbital, the orb, moby, and brian eno. Their version of Little Fluffy Clouds is amazing, as is Forever. I would recommend this cd to anyone who is even mildly interested in techno.

This work is a fantastic collection of electronica performed in the style of a string sextet. Where most attempts at this would fail, Acoustek plays with so much emotion, one can't help but keep listening for what is next. For anyone with a liking towards progressive or exploratory musical forms. Five Stars! No - Six actually!

I found this album almost a decade ago and still find it moving. The energy with which this group interprets the selection of music continues to invigorate. I am aware this was just a one-shot project for the collaborators, but I really wish there were further recordings to be had. One album of music of this quality leaves you craving more.
