This is not a well known CD but one that should be in every true Toad fan's music library. Great acoustic performances in both studio and live settings. Also a must for anyone who has seen them live in concert. Too bad these guys broke up, they put on a great show. This CD is one way to experience that forever.

This is a GREAT CD. Of course, anything Toad is automatic greatness, and when you add acoustic and live to the equation you have a sure-fire win on your hands. It's well worth buying, especially if you like the songs "Something's Always Wrong" (Great studio acoustic version) and "Walk On The Ocean" (Randy Guss calls it one of two possible quintessential Toad songs--and just listen to that chorus live!!) I just wish there weren't those dang breaks in mid-conversation.....

This is by far the best acoustic set out there, all five songs are just right on the money. If your a Toad fan then this is a must buy. The recording of "Somethings Always Wrong" is the best mix yet of that particular recording.

When I discovered this great band on a CD sampler ("Theodore") in the early ninties, I was taken back by the singing of Glen Phillips and the quality of the songwriting. Toad The Wet Sprocket, did not fit into the norm of what was being produced then. This is timeless popular music that owes much to the bands of the sixties, but sounds fresh & alive in 2010.

When the fantastic album: "Fear" brought them up by more than a few notches by being one of the greatest recordings of the 1990's, this EP suddenly appeared shortly after. With a new studio version of: "Something's Always Wrong" and four live acoustic tunes recorded in an Atlanta radio station, this CD does it's job well. It shows this band in their very best light.

Toad, is about telling stories with their music, and that is excactly what they do here on "Acoustic Dance Party". With: "Nanci" "Stupid" "Walk On The Ocean" and "Fall Down" they prove that acoustic music is as powerful as roaring guitar driven rock. The talent of these four musicans is mighty, and there is a vast ocean of heart in their music, and it is projected to the small crowd like a tidal wave of emotions.

I feel that we are indeed very lucky that a band this good, made it through all the muck and fog that is passed off as rock music, and are still out there for us to enjoy. This is my Favorite CD offering by this band, it is a great example of where we could be, Toad The Wet Sprocket is a band that found their sound, and does it better than anyone else.
This CD belongs in your music library.
FIVE STARS !!!
