Solitude Collection ~ Acoustic Hymns is a soothing instrumental CD, highlighting 13 favorite hymns played on acoustic guitar by arranger / producer Mark Magnuson. These peaceful and simple arrangements inspire peace, hope, meditation.
The acoustic guitar style on this project is unique. Less becomes more. The Solitude Collection recordings are borne of simplicity and humility, purposefully seeking artistic space and breathing room. The parts of the canvas which are empty become a part of the overall artistic picture. Tranquil melodies lead the listener toward peace, relaxation, contemplation.
Mark's guitar work on this project is inspired by John Michael Talbot, Billy McLaughlin, Michael Hedges, Phil Keaggy, and Michael Card.

This album is wonderful. I wish he would make more albums of hymns. It is very difficult to find beautiful, worshipful (thanks other reviewer) hymns. I recommend this album to anyone.
