This is a couple of performances that the band did in front of live audience of fans of their music. I really enjoy acoustic performances from just about anybody, so this was a real treat for me. However, hoping for some insights in the between song banter was non-existent. Somehow commenting about technical problems wasn't what I was looking for.

The Acoustic Nights album from All About Eve was a re-release of the two albums Fairy Light Nights and Fairy Light Nights Two as a double album in a single-sized 10mm dual disc package, with an all new article by Russell Beecher about the band. This is a real godsend for those who want to learn more about the history of this band which has ties to The Church and other bands. Currently, Julianne Regan and some of the original band members are working on a new album to be released later in 2011. If you like this, you'll want the new album too!

The music is the same as in the two Fairy Light Nights albums, and the first disc is the same as Unplugged and Amazon's MP3 download of All About Eve (live). There are several songs on both albums that are hard to find elsewhere and although the sound quality and balance is less than perfect, the performances make this set well worth having. The article makes it worth having even if you already have the earlier set!
