A better ride than the one on "Acoustic Highway",
By A Customer
This review is from: Acoustic Planet (Audio CD)
Craig Chaquico's debut solo effort is good, but this one is better. On this CD, Craig stretches out more in terms of style; you will hear blues and Latin influences in addition to the smooth jazz/New Age melding he has already demonstrated so ably. And, for his longtime fans, he offers an outstanding acoustic rendering of "Find Your Way Back" that will convince you these guys had a blast recording it even as they pay a nice compliment to Chaquico's old music mates. Rather than being overwhelming, the variety of the tracks enhances the listening experience and showcases Chaquico's talent to an even greater degree than did "Acoustic Highway." Buying this CD is money well spent for any fan of the acoustic guitar and is a must for fans of Craig Chaquico.

Great Driving Music!,
This review is from: Acoustic Planet (Audio CD)
That's not all. It is very relaxing. You can listen to it anytime to calm down and cool out. Craig Chaquico is a talented artist, and this is some of his best work. If you like this style of music, I also recommend From The Redwoods To The Rockies by Craig Chaquico and Russ Freeman. Very nice stuff.

i dont really listen to new age music, but i love any kind of good instrumental guitar, and i had always heard about him so i decided to give him a shot... this isnt too bad actually- Craig has a good, unique style.. its nice relaxing acoustic guitar for when you just want to sit and think. check this cd out if u like Yngwie Malmsteen or other neoclassical guitarists

Joureny into the Acoustic Planet,

This album was a definant leap for Chaquico as he mastered his sound to the fullest on this album and created something very unique. This album just seems "alive" with flow and feeling. The poems and quotations that highlight the songs really make the album a creative journey (similarly to the previous album ). Acoustic Planet moves and flows through a soundscape of Tribal Native-American, New-Age, and Jazz movements that in the end, show to flow as one and complete the concept of "Acoustic Planet".Ben.

I remember Craig from his days with Starship and enjoyed his guitar playing. Little did I know how awesome he would sound on his own. This is the best new age music CD I have purchased. I love the tracks Native Tongue and Find Your Way Back. Not only are the songs on this CD great but theyre also soothing to the soul. Great work craig!

Best Jazz Guitar I've heard,
By
This review is from: Acoustic Planet (Audio CD)
Craig just can't be pidgeon-holed. All those years with rock bands. Then he's on the shelves solo as "New Age".So the "Jazz" radio stations don't play him, and Jazz fans don't know he exists. But to me the last half of the cut "Acoustic Planet" is the best jazz guitar improvization I've ever heard. Enthralling no matter how many times I listen!

One of the best mixes of Jazz and New Age,
By A Customer

This album is awesome. Craig Chaquico has successfully blended new age rhythms with rock style guitar licks. The jazz piano solos blend well with the acoustic guitar. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to listen to uplifting instrumentals.

When I first heard Craig's Native Tongue in Higher Octave's 10th Anniversary CD, I was absolutely enchanted by the sheer fluidity of the piece.Higher Octave happens to be my favorite New Age label and I bought Acoustic Highway without any hesitation. I was given Acoustic Planet by a cousin and I daresay it made my christmas all the merrier! Highly recommended tracks: 1,2,3,6 and 9. The best acoustic guitar album I have purchased to date!

A Rare Experience,

This is the very first CD I purchased from the record label 'Higher Octave Music'. I was absolutely mesmerised by the highly-uplifting music, especially the first track, Native Tongue. I have since bought two other CDs from 'Higher Octave' and have not been disappointed. This one, by Craig Chaquico, still remains my personal favorite, though.

I've really been enjoying this album, listened to it many times now. Really I can describe it as ear candy.
His version of "Find Your Way Back" on this album is really great, probably my favourite track of all. |
