1.0 out of 5 stars Acoustic Research/Thomson/RCA - Bad Product, May 26, 2006
This review is from: Acoustic Research 10-OUTLET Surge Suppressor (Electronics)
I bought this product because the salesman at a reputable electronics outlet store recommended that I buy a surge protector to protect my home theatre system. Unfortunately I went out and bought this product. They said that if there is a power surge or lightning strike, the company would replace whatever is damaged.
Well the worst happened and a power surge took out my home theatre system ($525), my digital camera ($320) and my blender.
I tried contacting them. Trust me I called several numbers, at least 11-12. I even got an adult services when i tried one of their numbers but i kept on trying different numbers. finally i got through and they gave me a claim # and asked me to call a number to get further information. i left a number of messages at that number but never got a call back.
Do not buy anything from these companies (Thomson/Acoustic Research) Cant imagine this is the USA. how can they be allowed to do business here in the states.
