I ordered this product on the expectation on receiving the plugs. Since the spools are 50' I needed two, with 16 plugs expected, I figured it to be a great deal.

Like the person above, I received the cable w/o plugs. I called Amazon and they happily sent me another set of cable, which I didn't need, in the 'hopes' apparently that they'd come with the plugs, and a return label to send back two spools of wire. Bureaucracy at its best; still I didn't receive the plugs.

Amazon customer service did respond quickly the second time and issued me a $20 credit per spool. They said the return label was coming us mail. They had 1 day shipped the second set of wire, turns out completely a waste since I'll be returning them.

The cable itself is heavy duty plastic wrapped, soft and pliable. Because of its construction and my cheap wire strippers, it was a bit of effort to get the wire stripped, but I think that is somewhat good. Overall, I'd order the cable, but would look for it elsewhere without the plugs.

Customer service did say they'd try and get the listing fixed to show that it had no plugs, or to get them sent each time.

You just couldn't go wrong at this price. I paid the same amount for 50 feet that Best Buy charges for 25 feet of the same top quality AR speaker cable. That's right, cable. At 12 gauge, it's no longer "wire" in my book. Not only is this cable top shelf OFC, it comes with 8 gold connectors that would easily cost an additional $15.00 to $20.00 at your local radio shack. It's almost like they charged me for the connectors and "gave" me the cable. I only needed 25 feet but bought 50 because of the great price. I've been in the home/car audio business for over 25 years and deals like this don't come around too often. My only regret is that I didn't buy 250 feet.

This is high quality speaker wire, insulation is nice and thick. Wire is 12g so you can use it for long runs without loss of signal strength.
Seems just as good as monster speaker wire for twice the price.

I ordered wire / plug combo because it was a good deal for them both, otherwise I really didn;t need that much wire. Anyway, it arrived packaged nicely ... at leaste the WIRE arrived. No plugs. The item discription says "Includes (8) 24k gold-plated connector pins" and the picture shows 8 banana plugs! Wheeeeerrres the plugs (in a classic where's the beef sort of way)

So I called Amazon ... they said sorry etc etc we'll send you out another one. So they did. It arrived ... NO PLUGS!!! I even unrolled the spool thinking that maybe it was under the wire etc etc. Nope! Nothing!

So called Amazon back up ... they said that they would give me a credit for the plugs ... $16 I think and I then ordered some different (and really cool) banana plugs.

A.R. wire is really nice and super quality wire and I'm glad I purchased that ... just not all the trouble.

So, A+++++ for Amazon and their customer support. BIG HISS and BOO for the combo that is listed. It's wrong and inaccurate.

This speaker wire has a non-conductive core made out of a material that is not copper so it is not truly 12 gauge copper wire as far as copper content goes, it is something thinner. To make matters worse, when the ends are twisted to allow for the speaker connections, some of the non-conductive material moves from the core to the outside and can contact the connection posts. Not a happy camper.

I did not order the plugs, just two 50 foot spools of this wire. Hard to strip, because insulating jacket is so thick (good thing). Just be sure you have a wire stripper tool(s) to handle this 12AWG and its insulating jacket.Take your time stripping this wire. Very good quality 12 AWG speaker wire. I had to hide two seperate wire runs (side by side) under edge of a carpet, and there is a noticable, but not objectionable rise of the carpet edge.

The wire looks and feels really high-quality, but the wire jacket is so thick that it doesn't fit in a standard banana plugs. I had to exchange it for a different kind of speaker wire.

I bought two spools. The cable is very good but I can not say the same thing for the connectors coming with the cable. The connectors are useless. It doesn't have screw to tighten a cable end in the connector. So that a cable could be disconnected easly.
