Their best cd?,
This review is from: Acoustic Roots Live & Direct (Audio CD)
There are some gems of songs on the other cd's they have, but I don't care for a lot of their faster punk songs, and some of them are basically crap. This cd I listen to start to finish without skipping over songs. White boys talking with a Jamaican accent in between songs is rather silly, but they make up for it with songs like "Fireshot", "Sensi" and "Couldn't get High". "Wiseman" is also a great song.
Definitely worth the purchase.

go buy this album now!,

The Acoustic Roots cd is probably the best compilation of acoustic songs on one album ive heard since Sublime's Acoustic Brad Nowell and Friends cd. It is the first cd I ever listened to from Slightly Stoopid and it definitely made me a fan instantly. It has that positive vibe that can only be heard in the west coast. Miles and Kyle are a perfect match for eachother; they compliment each other's talents. And with the songs being live, it reminds me of Brad Nowell's insanely beautiful live acoustic songs. Please go out and buy this album for the sake of humanity.

Well, to start off with, this is a totally acoustic album, in case you were fooled like the other guy who wrote his review and was shocked it was acoustic. Miles(bass) and Kyle(guitar) have been playing together since they were kids and this concert really demonstrates this; apparently two weeks before this show, their drummer left the band leaving them to either cancel the show or go on and play without a drummer. Overall, this album is one of the best things you can spend your money on; the innovative way they changed their songs to suit their two acoustic guitars (I believe they both play Seagulls) will leave you reeling. From the opening reggae shout on Fireshot to their cover of Used to love her, this album surpasses all expectations, and it gets better every time you listen to it. The live feel is what really brings out the magic in Slightly Stoopid, so do yourself a favor and buy this album right now.

I love Slightly Stoopid so much! They have such a unique ring in their music. Some call it regge, but I wouldn't call it anything right now, just AWESOME music. They are all about being chill and great, all around good stuff.

This disc is straight, lately I haven't been able to get enough slightly stoopid and this cd swtiched it up a little bit for me. I fall asleep to it everynight. If you like reggae, well you don't even need to like reggae to enjoy this. It's all around good listening.

I own three of there cd's and this is by far the best. I love the acoustic sound and feeling. Some acoustic cd's suck but some are better then original recordings. This is one of them. If you like Sublime, Pepper, Reggae in general don't miss this find. It's a modern sound and its great!

This CD has a feel of duelling guitars, its amazing how great they make each song sound without other instruments. While playing live on the radio in Cali their music remains nearly flawless only stopping for a few words between songs. I think this may be their best CD and hope Slightly Stoopid makes more similar recordings.

I became a fan of Slightly Stoopid because of this album. The other albums are really good, and give you the full production sound with keyboards and drums, etc. But this recording, two guys, one take, live on the air, showcases their skill and passion for the music.
