"Comprehensive literature review. Not an easy read and there is poor continuity between chapters. See Naugol'nykh for an alternate take on things. I believe much of this material can be found in compressible fluid mechanics books, though this text is written for acousticians."
"Ugh! The Jackson of the acoustics world. It's overly formal and doesn't provide any great physical insight. Its only value are the Rayleigh integral and Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral theorem sections. I recommend "Theoretical Acoustics" in place of this text."
