About the Author

Sam is a retired engineer, unpublished as an author except for "Sam Kegley's Memoirs," written for three children who could not read at the time-his granddaughters Morgan, Tobey, and Ida Scout. Sam and his wife, Jeanie (née Jeanette Weddington), have lived in Westerville, Ohio, for 34½ years. Both are retired. They have two sons, Jay and Jeff. Jay and his wife, Terri, are the parents of Tobey (5½) and Ida Scout (2½). Morgan (6) is Jeff's daughter. Jeff is divorced from Morgan's mother, Patti. Sam is originally from Portsmouth, Ohio, and Jeanie is from the neighboring town of New Boston. Sam graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Metallurigcal Engineering, and Jeanie received a PHT (Putting Hubby Through) from the Dames Club at UK at the same time.
