I use this on all my computers. It isn't particularly intuitive to navigate through but it does a "sector by sector" back-up that restores absoutely everything exactly the way the computer was when the back-up was made. I've only ever had to use it once on my daughter's computer. It was very slow to restore through a USB but it did a perfect job of restoring the entire hard drive. I give it a five because it did a perfect job which is worth the several hour wait considering the alternative.

I own True Image Home 2009 and 2010! I use the 2010 on my PC as it was an free upgrade from 2009 because I bought it at the transition period. 2009 I bought for my wifes PC and 3 more for my church. I basically CLONE my hard drive and is quite a simple and secure process with True Image no matter which version! Backing up is not really in my mind when I clone. I get an entire HD worth of information. If my HD fails, I will just SWAP the failed PC drive for the cloned drive! That has happened on a trial basis and it works 100%

It's a while since I replaced a failing hard drive. I was a nervous wreck. I'm no computer whiz so, I searched the internet for the best way to replace the drive without losing data -- or restalling software. Good reviews from others for Acronis True Image 2009 convinced me to use it.Well, no muss, no fuss, it just did exactly what I needed done. My new drive is installed and I haven't thought about it til Amazon asked for a review. |
