Joe keeps getting better with time! He's come a long way from that skinny kid at Woodstock. My favorite and most listened to CD.

If you've ever had the opportunity to see J.C. live you'd know why I recommend this album. He may have past his peak (in regard to touring) but he still has the energy, performance, and is just extraodinary. I bought this to remind me of the experience . . . this guy has always been under-rated although I'm not sure why.

TOP OF THE CHARTS. A long time fan since first seeing Woodstock and buying "Mad Dogs and Englishmen". Joe has put out many excellent albums and this is one of his best; my favorite cut is "N'oubliez Jamais", but every song on this album is really nice. No one sings from the soul like Joe. Highly Recommend.

....and those of us who thought JC had reached a pinnacle with that album will not be surprised that Across From Midnight does not quite make the grade. Lyrically as strong as ever but lacks the breadth and depth of some earlier work. The voice is a s good as ever and the band very strong. Well worth buying and taking time to know. It will not diminsh one jot my expectations when I see JC in Boston on 2 September!!
