Always charmed,

I must've read this book a hundred times to my children and I was warmed and charmed 100 times. Simple, gentle, and way cool illustrations. A winner.

This review is from: Across the Stream (Paperback)
A perfect read for children ages 3 to 6. This is a beautifully simple poem that tells the story of a mother hen and her chicks who escape a fox pup, with the help of a compassionate duck and her ducklings. Ginsburg's poem is complemented by Tafuri's vivid and adorable watercolor illustrations.
