This is a wonderful book. Not only are the stories accompanying each quilt block pattern riveting but the quilt blocks them self are fun to do. A group of ladies doing this quilt are looking forward to having a beautiful finished quilt by the end of this year.

This book has a number of stories of people that moved west on the Oregon Trail and others. These stories go along with making this quilt that features homes, animals, flowers, etc. that would have been in the lives of people that settled the Frontier. The quilt can be made with fabrics that you like or you could follow the suggestions in the book. It is a nice quilting book for anyone that is into American History or any quilter that follows Jan Patik's books and patterns.
