I heard Jack at a folk festival this summer and was very Impressed. Yes Peter Yarrow, he is about the best guitarist accompanying himself I have ever heard. I have learned to play " Mama Lou", " Across the Winterline", etc but the most lyrical song on this album is " The Lone Palmetto Sings "."Waterbug" is a unique song really displaying his guitar virtuosity. Add together Gordon Lightfoot, Phil Ochs, Joe South and throw in superb guitar and you have Jack Williams. Enjoy.

If you even think you might like this album you'll love it. This great album was a lucky find for me. Williams is a poet and an incredible song writer. The music ranges from thoughtful introspection to gutsy and fun. I love Kate Wolf, John Stewart, Terry Allen, and Guy Clark but this album is somehow better. Don't miss it.

This is one of the best folk albums I've heard in years. A smooth, mellow voice and beautiful lyrics. If you have the chance to hear him in person, don't miss it. I saw him perform & didn't want the show to be over!
