This container is NOT Acrylic. It is INJECTION MOLDED STYRENE plastic.

Acrylic is tough, this container is brittle.

Acrylic stays clear when exposed to UV rays. This container will turn yellow.

This is certainly priced as if it were Acrylic rather than the cheapo INJECTION MOLDED STYRENE that it is.

Hope this helps someone.

I bought these for my baby tarantulas--a few holes with a sautering iron, a quick wash and some substrate and voila! Perfect housing for tiny tarantulas. I know that's not what they were intended for but they certainly do the job well. They're nicely built containers and would make nice display cases for small collectibles too.

I am using these as homes for my pet tarantulas. I have to drill some holes for air circulation. They look great and are very reasonably priced...plus I can can't find anything like it int he local craft shops.

No Removable lid included with package. Container arrived slightly cracked. Overall good quality. Seems like you get the second hand items with not quality assurance as to what is included.

This is a light weight acrylic box. It is perfect for my intended use, which is to hold cotton balls in the bathroom. The only complaint I have with it is that it doesn't have a handle of any kind on the lid. Other than that it is great.

GREAT price, HIGH quality, nice rounded edges and very clear plastic. Arrived with no scratches, in perfect condition. Couldn't have asked for a better product--I would recommend to friends and will buy from here again!

I bought it because it was used in a DIY sous-vide immersion circulator plan I was referencing. I really wish I would have gotten something else. It is thin walled, and acrylic is somewhat brittle, and shatterable. If it was thicker and more like polycarbonate I would have been happier. My fault for not knowing what acrylic was, though I wish I'd have known the thickness. Personally I wouldn't use this container for anything. It's about as exciting as particleboard furniture. I could probably find something better for anything it could be used for (for a price), though I guess I could see it used for the vivarium the other review used it for. If it's a set it and forget it project, disposable, or for the kids it might suffice. I hate leaving a bad review, but if I would have known what I know now I would not have made the purchase. That said, it is ultra inexpensive, and for the price it is not terrible, hence 2 stars. I would have given it 5 stars if the description was more descriptive.
