I'm the kind of guy who does well on his own on the easier settings, but needs a boat load of help when it comes to playing a game at the harder difficulty settings. This book is great for that! It has a great layout and is very comprehensive. It includes background information (the plot) for every mission, along with step-by-step instructions of the best way to beat each level. In the back there is whole section with the stats of every unit, making it easy to decide what to put up on your battle front. It also goes over the best strategies for the mini-maps and multiplayer game play. Overall, I will say this is a must-get for anyone who wants to become a great Act of War strategist.

I am new to gaming. I enjoy command and conquer Generals, Zero Hour & Tiberium Wars. I also enjoy Earth 2160, Civilization, Myst, Ghost Recon & M/S Flight Simulator. The little I have played Act of War leaves me feeling I will like it also. I have had several head injuries and am not as quick as I used to be. I can use the mouse and some hot key commands and find I am fine with my selection os games. I cannot do games which require expert keyboarding skills. Hopes this helps.

Delivery took a little longer than average. But book was delivered in excellent quality.

I like buying these manuals because it helps me to get a little bit more involved in the game not because I ever actually need to. This is once again the case with this manual. It is well done for what it is and for once it includes the cheat codes but it isn't necessary to purchase this to complete the game. I like in particular however the charts in the last section. They are helpful for calculating the hit points and damage inflicted by various rounds if you want to take your game just that little bit further.
