Sub-Par Album at best,
By N. Proph "malcomxfan" (San Jose, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Acting (Audio CD)
I usually only review albums if they have no reviews. This is a sub-par album by a classic Hip-Hop group and Edo G. and the Bulldogs. Still don't know the correct spelling of their group. They have several different members: T-Nyne, Game (formerly Smooth Ice Gee), DJ Cruz, Black, Bulletproof Brett, Slim Dog, Shawn Booker, Lorenzo, Bruzer, Mo, Tyrone, Money 1, Muff K., Diamond, Dream Nefra, and Joe. I think too many members can lead to varying tastes and an unbalanced flow as a result on this album. The song that I enjoyed the most is "Feeling You", a relaxing love tone...unlike the several gangster-type songs imprinted on this album. Edo G. & the Bulldogs keep it Ol-Skool. You have to be a hardcore and patient fan of their group to enjoy most of the garbage on this album. Not to be completely negative, it has a lot of conscious Hip-Hop with tracks like "Acting" and "Dedicated." But the whole demeaning of women (tricks, bitches, hos), it seems like they have it out for attacking women. There's even a protypical Hip-Hop track called "Living With A Trick." That's the problem with this album. I don't recommend it. |
