This game is very cool. It only costs ... and I think it should be priced more than that. Take 2 Entertainment has done a great job making this game. Even though it is pretty basic, its neat. The game features Four diverse fishing areas, plus a hidden bonus area to unlock. THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS GAME IS THAT WHEN YOU CATCH A FISH, YOU HAVE YOUR OWN AQUARIUM TO PUT IT IN AND YOU CAN WATCH IT SWIM AROUND. I'd recomend this game to pretty much anyone. A+

Good arcade style fishing game. Definately worth the money. Its a fun game, not to complex, but yet challenging. Just catch the required amount of fish before your time runs out. Simple,but fun,unlike some of the other fishing games.

Action Bass is a fast-paced, arcade-style fishing game. The straightforward presentation makes Action Bass easy for anyone to play and makes it a lot of fun, since you're almost always pulling fish out of the water.

There aren't any lakes, instead, you fish in five different areas, unlocking additional lures as you progress.The gameplay is quite simplistic. All you really have to do is choose the best lure for a particular area and cast.

The 3D graphics are fairly realistic and sound is reasonable good too.

Action Bass is a good arcade-style fishing but for players that really enjoy simulation-style fishing games with boats and vast areas to explore, then this may not be the right game for you.

It was a waste of time, after you hook the fish they dont try to escape, they sit there so you can reel them in. You will quickly get bored with this game.

i really enjoy playing this fishing game. if you've tried other fishing games and got frustrated with not catching anything, you'll enjoy this game. it's challanging yet not frustrating. many levels of play with different strengths of fish. i would recommend this game for kids and adults alike. what a value too. finally a game that you can really enjoy and you didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. :)

I have yet to find a fishing game for Playstation that delivers, and this game was no different. Overall, there are several flaws with this game. The major one being that you only use one button the entire game. Push THE button to cast (you cannot vary the length of a cast), push THE button to reel in the lure, push and hold THE button to land the fish. There is the option of choosing a free fishing mode or tournament style. The tournament is the absolute worst part of the game. Each round lasts 3 lousy minutes....and you cannot increase the time. The only thing that Take2 has done an even remotely good job of is the graphics of the fish...but the novelty of that wares off mighty quickly.

I gave this game to my teenage cousin and he loved it. So all I can write is what he said: Totally awesome!!!!! Its phat!!!

...You cant ride around in a boat and hunt for the fish. And when you do fish, the fish dont fight! it just sits there and lets you pull it in! How bad is that? This is a fun game. It isn't one of those things where you go out and have to learn the weather and water conditions and the proper lures for whatever fish. That's what makes it great - you just go out and catch fish. It is great ... . On the minus side the loading time is pretty long and the graphics aren't really the best.
