A book about action movies, how can you say no? That's right, you can't. With reviews and commentary on over 100 action movies from the classics to present, a must have for movie fans! Not to mention it even comes with a free DVD!

Katrina Hill could write about city management and make it sound fun. Fortunately she saves her insight and wit for Sylvester Stallone, Clint Eastwood, Arnold, Jackie Chan, Kurt Russell and the rest of the Action Movie clan. Hill's writing is sometimes flip, sometimes sassy, sometimes over the top, but always fun. She's a dynamo. You could hook a generator to her copy and have enough electricity to power the eastern seaboard. Hill selects and reviews 100 movies including Classics (The Magnificent Seven, Dirty Harry, The Wild Bunch, etc) Martial Arts (Enter The Dragon, Ninja Assassin, etc), Superhero and Video Game Action Films (The Dark Knight, Kick-Ass, Blade, etc) and everything in between. Along the way she does profiles of not only the leading men of action movies, but the leading women (Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, etc). She even provides a run down of great onscreen fights between famous actors (Jet Li v. Jason Statham, etc). The book also looks great. The design is fresh and the images pack a lot of punch (ka-POW). The book isn't definitive and you may quibble with some of the movies selected or neglected, but it is a fantastically fun romp from a woman who knows her stuff. Highly recommend.

You should buy this book whether you enjoy action movies or not, it's a fun read for everyone. The colorful pictures are great and has great information.
