This thing is a scream!!! I had so much fun watching this on tv waiting to see which classic cartoon show they would spoof next! Flintstones, Speed Racer, Scooby Doo to name just a few. Most of the send ups are dead on and there are too many of them to list. This is brilliantly done and it's very VERY funny!!!

Thanks to magic TV remotes Timmy and his baby sitter do battle in cartoon TV land moving from one classic cartoon show to another, but the plot is less important than the spoofs themselves. The writers and animators really do an amazing job capturing the look and feel of all these well known shows, and poke a little fun at them too!

Kids will definitely enjoy this...but parents, especially those who remember all the television cartoons of their childhood, will especially enjoy this episode.

That's what I'd say to anyone considering buying this movie. If you enjoy silly, clever cartoons that also have characters you can really love, you might like watching "The Fairly Oddparents." And if you do like watching it, you'll flip for "Channel Chasers." Hysterically funny thanks to beloved Timmy Turner, Wanda, Cosmo, and the rest of the gang, and *outrageously* funny thanks to crazy good parodies of classic cartoons and various animation styles, "Channel Chasers" is, like the Fairly Oddparents themselves, perfect for both children and adults.

From anime, to the 'Chucky Black Hannukah Special,' to Scooby Doo in which Scooby talks like Snoop Dog, to a BRILLIANT depiction of the Rankin/Bass Rudolph Christmas classic featuring Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda, among perhaps a dozen others, "Channel Chasers" follows a coherent story besprinkled with the hilarious wisecracks and comments and adorable interaction typical of the show's characters. It's funny, it's creative, and yes, it's touching. What else would one expect from such a terrific cartoon? I give "Channel Chasers" two thumbs way up, and I say "rock on!" to the Fairly Oddparents.

THE FAIRLY ODD PARENTS! CHANNEL CHASERS was a tv movie of the FAIRLY ODD PARENTS! In this story, after Timmy's parents refuse to listen to him after he gets in trouble for problems caused by his evil babysitter Vicky and when he's grounded from tv, Timmy decides he wants to live in tv. Kids in tv never seem to have to listen to grown-ups. Meanwhile, a time-traveler from the future is after Timmy and trying to prevent a dystopian world ruled by Vicky from ever happening.

CHANNEL CHASERS is a highly entertaining long episode of THE FAIRLY ODD PARENTS! It's got all the usual humor of the show, but then takes it up a notch. CHANNEL CHASERS makes allusions to THE TERMINATOR and STAR WARS. Also, the shows that are parodied as Timmy jumps from tv show to tv show include a huge variety: THE JETSONS, RUGRATS, FAT ALBERT, JONNY QUEST, STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, PEANUTS, SPACE GHOST, THE FLINTSTONES, SPEED RACER, SCOOBY DOO, BATMAN AND ROBIN, BLUE'S CLUES, TOM AND JERRY, LOONEY TUNES, SESAME STREET, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, and DRAGON BALL Z. Personally, my favorite parody was "Poppyseed Avenue" (the parody of SESAME STREET) because all of the cartoon characters are seen as felt hand puppets. As a bonus treat, Alec Baldwin makes a special voice appearance on the episode.

There are three bonus episodes included on the CHANNEL CHASERS disc. These are:

"Spaced Out" – when playing Crash Nebula, Timmy wishes for an alien to play with and Mark Chang, the Prince of Yugopotaimia appears. He soon falls in love with Vicky. Wanda and Cosmo can't interfere in true love, so Timmy has to figure out of a different way to get rid of Mark.

1st thing you notice is that there are alot of parodies in this special. They include: Dragonball (Maho Mushi), Gundam (part of Maho Mushi), Jetsons (Futurellies), Rugrats (Carpet Critters), Fat Albert (Habby Hal), Johnny Quest(Johnny Hunt), Peanuts (Walnuts),Charlie Brown (Chucky Black), Seasame Street (unnamed) , Speed Racer (unnamed), Rodoulph the Red Nosed Reindeer (unnamed), TMNT (Agily Mutated Karate Cows), and most shocking Clint's Hints (Blue's Clues). Also the adult Timmy falls into channel 85 on a Candy Land-ish looking show. I wish I had one of those remotes. I'm glad I watched it today. I recomend this movie.

"Channel Chasers" is an entertaining and fun movie to watch. It has spoofs of real shows in it, my favorite being The Simpsons.

CHANNEL CHASERS

Timmy wishes for a magic remote control that will allow him to travel inside television. But the magic remote winds up in Vicky's hands! It's going to take Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda to race through television and stop Vicky from using the remote control to take over every channel and, ultimately, the world!

BONUS EPISODES

SPACED OUT

When playing "Crash Nebula," Timmy wishes for an alien to play with. Poof! Soon Timmy's playing with a real alien prince from the planet of Yugopotaimia!

MICROPHONY

Vicky airs a radio ad campaign and soon she's babysitting all the kids in Dimmsdale over the summer vacation!

THIS IS YOUR WISH

Cosmo goes on a game show where the audience gets to decide whether he stays a fairy or goes home to live with his mother!
