5.0 out of 5 stars hours of fun!!
great fun, but must be done with an adult!! make sure you buy plenty of goo because making bugs is hours of fun so order extra goo when you purchase this item.

3.0 out of 5 stars This product "bugged" me a bit, lol
I was a little disappointed in the "durability" of the bugs once baked. They break pretty easily. Also, it was not an easy task taking the legs out of the mold, and the legs were the first things to break off the bugs. It was a neat project up until the point the kids wanted to play with their new creations.

If you ever did these as a kid, then you remember how much fun they are. If you have never, you will love doing these with the kids. Its not too much work or mess, just enough to have some fun.

These bugs have a terrible plastic smell. When we baked them the entire house smelled like toxic plastic and the bugs themselves smelled also. If wish I would have known that before I smelled up our entire house.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea...Lousy Quality!, December 27, 2011

This product seemed right up the alley of my 6 year old and we got started right away on Christmas day.

First proglem was when we opened the box everything inside felt greasy....also, two of the pin mounts where broken

After realizing the pin mounts were a lame feature anyway and wiping the grease off then the real problems started.

During the first bug creation the nozzle on the goo bottle popped off spilling goo everywhere and ruining the first creation.

We discovered that this happens alot and my daughter ended up in tears after spending 10 minutes creating a detailed bug design only to have the nozzle pop off and spill goo over everything. For some reason the nozzles are not permanently attached, nor do they screw in, they just pop in and out. If you apply even moderate pressure to apply the goo it pops right off.

I'm going to be contacting the company for a refund.

The ones we did bake came out OK, but don't look anything like the glossy ones on the box...not to mention they were just swirls of color since the nozzles kept ruining the designs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun for Girls, January 13, 2007
This review is from: Action Products Bake-A-Bug (Toy)
This was a gift for my 7 year-old niece. She really enjoys helping Mom cook, so this was a fun project for both of them. At 7 years, the bugs she made herself were not quite like the pictures on the box, however she really enjoyed "grossing out" her brothers and sister with her "bug jewelry". Thank you.
