This is a very nice case, to say this is for the Zi8 is a stretch of the imagination. The case is MUCH larger than the camera. Seems silly to have this small camera and such a large case. Large but not large enough to carry the charger and other cords that come with the camera. If you need to carry your cell phone and other small stull with the camera OK, but this is NOT the case for this camera

This is not a case for the Zi8. I wish that I had read PaulsWackyWorld's review before I selected this case at the time I ordered my Camera and case. He is completely right. The case is so large it offers no protection from the items you have in the case. If you put the Tripod in the case at the same time it will scrath the Camera. I can't believe that someone talked about putting their keys and phone in the same case. Yes, it is a well built case with nice attachment features as noted. BUT it is supposed to protect the camera. This is not possible unless you wrap the camera in a protective cloth or... a real Zi8 case. Keep looking. Mine is going back.

I bought this case about a week ago in anticipation of my NEW KODAK ZI8...which came yesterday. The case fits the Zi8 perfectly and to test it out i brought it out to the bars with me last night. It was small enough to be inconspicuous but definitely still protected the zi8...i was easily able to pull out the 8 and get a video of my friend getting slapped by a girl whose number he had asked for. hilarious. anyway, good case, tripod works great too, cool.

I purchased 2 of these to hold the Kodak Video cameras...The case is hard which is good, but the mesh pouch inside, which is designed to hold extra stuff,cannot be zipped closed to make sure nothing drops out by accident when you open the case. On vacation you are in and out of the case a lot and I was constantly having stuff fall out.

Inside this carrying case is a mesh webbing that permits you to keep your videocorder separate from microphone, tripod or other accessories. The carrying case is made of very sturdy material that safeguards the Zi8 from other things in my backpack. The tripod also serves as very functional add-on handle on the Zi8. Just what I was looking for.

The product description is way off and misleading when they say it fits Zi-8. My new Zi-8 rattles inside a case and it totally does not make sense for me to carry such a big case when the Zi8 is small and compact. I am stuck with a case which is big, bulky, unwieldy and on top of that ends up rattling my camera.

Not sure how to return things on Amazon but I am sure going to find out.

The Action-Ready Carrying Case is very poor quality. Perhaps my experience is unique but I rather doubt it.

My issues are as follows...

The zipper binds and sticks every time I attempt to open or close the case. I know it is only a matter of time before the zipper totally breaks and then the case will be worthless.

My second compliant is the net pouch inside the case. Although it is pictured holding the Kodak Zi8 camera, I assume it is actually designed to hold your accessories. My reasoning is that the pouch has a Velcro type fastener to hold it closed and there is simply no way for the pouch to close over the camera. Acting on my assumption that the pouch is for accessories, I put a pair of spare batteries for the Kodak Zi8 camera in the pouch, fastened the pouch and closed the case. In no time at all the pouch had opened up and the batteries were rattling around loose in the case. Bottom line, if the pouch is designed to hold the Kodak Zi8 camera it won't fit and still seal. If it is designed to hold accessories, it is simply not up to the task of holding even a couple of ounces. Pretty much worthless.

If your intent is to protect your Kodak Zi8 camera or other electronic device, I certainly do not recommend this product!

This case is the ideal size for both the camera and the tripod! Well made and easy to hold.

I am going to repeat what others have said. The Zi8 cannot be properly secured in this case. Cables and tripods stored with the camera could scratch the display or the lens. I'm not sure why This case was recommended for the Zi8. Waste of my money.

As said in the title, an excellent value.

Room for the camera (ZI8), external mike, a card reader, the (included) tri-pod, a spare battery, a wide angle lens & a remote control.

Allows for easy portability of a mini-recording studio - Very hapy with it.
