This item seems so easy to use. I had much the opposite experience. I and several family members one of which is engineer tried to hook this device to our phone. It took a lot of time-several days-- and when it was finally attached the device did not pick up automatically no matter what we tried. THe battery power source was an issue too as neither one would work more than a couple of hours.
