5.0 out of 5 stars Heaven on earth with plantar faciitis
I got plantar faciitis in both feet during my 3rd pregnancy. I didn't know what it was and so I let the problem go on far too long. I tried several different types of night splints and this one was by far the best. The others pulled my foot at such an angle that it would make my entire leg hurt all night long. This one does just the perfect angle. Also I like that my...

3.0 out of 5 stars This night splint is ok
I'm only saying this night splint is okay for a couple of reasons. The straps seem to slide down my leg during the night which loosens the fit of the splint. Therefore my foot is able to lean more forward hence not helping with my heel pain. If I tighten the straps very tight to where they don't slip, then the top of the splint hurts the top of my foot. It is not easy...

My feet always felt incredible after a night in this splint.

Therefore my foot is able to lean more forward hence not helping with my heel pain. If I tighten the straps very tight to where they don't slip, then the top of the splint hurts the top of my foot. It is not easy to walk in this splint. It has only helped my heel pain slightly in the 4 months I've had it. I just bought another style splint to try at night.

I wear a size 6 or 6 1/2 and this "small" size splint hits the ball and toes of my foot instead of the arch as stated in the description. If I had a larger, longer foot it would fit correctly. And also be warned - the company charges a 15% restocking fee to return! But "customer service is their #1 priority"!! So now I get to pay to ship it back ($6.95) and will loose the original shipping cost ($6.95) and the 15% restocking fee ($6.38). More than $20 spent and still need to buy a splint.

Along with inserts-(I used Spencer's), to wear during the day, the right exercises, and morning foot soaks made my feet NORMAL again without pain! Use consistantly and it will work to help heal! comfortable enough to sleep in, just don't fasten too tight! A GREAT product!

Product has helped overnight heel pain. Only thing is that it would be good if the sizes were small, medium, large. The small is still a bit big for woman's 7.5.

My doctor gave me the boot type of night splint to wear, but it was uncomfortable to sleep in. I decided to try this one and have had no problems sleeping with it on. It might not be quite as effective as the boot type, but my foot has felt better in the morning after using this splint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great For Women with Foot Problems but Love Their Heels, April 3, 2010

This is a great product. I have flat feet from wearing too many high heels, too many flat sandals and not working out regularly. I didn't have the strong leg and core muscles to keep up with the 4-5 inch stilettos and my feet and ankles have suffered because of it. That said, the Dorsal Night Splint has eased the mild pain in the front of my ankles and allowed for more blood circulation to my feet. I'm a happy camper.

I didn't feel anything major when I first put the splint on (I'm a skeptic at heart with medical contraptions). But after one full night, I woke up with a great loose ankle and light foot step. I've only ordered one splint to not spend too much before trying it out. So for the time being, I have been switching the splint from feet to feet every night. I'll keep it this way since it seems to work well for me.

I highly recommend this for any woman with the same love of shoes but can't stand plain orthopedic sneakers. Although I have downgraded the heels a bit and chosen a better foot friendly brand, there still is a way to keeping the heels and feeling great!

The Active Ankle splint beats Futuro's night splint hands down. Active Ankle is much more comfortable, and the hard pad on the bottom of the splint provides extra suppport & is the key to it's effectiveness. I love it & would recommend it to anyone.

Finally a product that helps with the achillies tendonitis that has been plaguing me for 2 months. Of course, I only wear it at night. By using it at night I have NO pain and I am able to sleep. It is easy to use, lightweight, and comfortable (I don't wear socks because I am always hot). It is so comfortable, I am even buying another one for my other foot. I totally recommend it!

My initial impression is this will make a difference for the pesky Plantar Facitis that has ratcheted up to acute stage; but I'm only on my 5th night of wearing. So too soon to sing high praises. My podiatrist wanted $75 for the nearly identical item. So this is a good value.

As a chronic insomniac was concerned for the sleepability, but find this surprisingly comfortable and had less heal pain after only the first night. Is not a cure yet, but I'm still hopeful for additional improvement.
