"Active Spirituality" is a Hit!,
By Another Customer (Rochester, New York, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Active Spirituality: A Non Devotional Guide (Hardcover)
In this book, Charles Swindoll educates the reader on 22 specific areas for personal growth available by studying Solomon's Book of Proverbs. The areas of growth are clearing defined, and backed by Scripture. Each chapter of the book is concluded with specific action items, to point the reader in the right direction. It is an excellent book for anyone who wants to study and learn from Solomon's wisdom. I recommend it highly!

Active Spirituality by Chuck Swindol,
This review is from: Active Spirituality: A Non-Devotional Guide (Hardcover)
This little book is power-packed with wisdom from the Book of Proverbs. It probes the very core of the heart, speaking to what motivates us in our Christian walk.It reveals the true essence of the soul, and forces the reader to think through the genuineness of his/her devotion the Christ. Solomon describes true character that is decidedly Christian and that which is not. Through the questions at the end of each chapter, the reader is left to make his/her own personal assessment. Although it was assigned reading as a seminary student, I used it as a daily devotion as well. Each morning I was challenged to search my heart and question my relationship to my creator, family, and other fellow human beings. Its sobering truth is worth reading time and time again. I have given my personal copies away to friends, and am trying now to secure additional ones as gifts. Evelyn Gardiner Milton, Mass.

The main thing I liked about this book was how it went into such detail explaining the Book of Proberbs. I will refer to this book many times because of it's precise explanations.
