Dont be fooled by those guys makin that noise... This thing rocks! Holy COW! If you grew up in the 80's - eating cereal on the living room floor with ur legs in a sleeping bag watching superfriends and peewee's playhouse, or maybe spiderman and his amazing friends, or perhaps the arcade block with q-bert and donkey kong... Then this is for you! Relive those days with these awesome games!! I played pitfall for three hours yesterday... I have always wondered since I was lil one whether u can beat that game or not and I gave it my all yesterday... After three hours I was still rackin up points with no end in sight... but there is no frustration, just the desire to go play it some more! Get thsi product, and also shrek 2 and spiderman 2 for xbox or ps2 and you will have everything you need! It seems only activision, take-two, and majestic have been doign anythign right in the video game industry lately!

I remember playing these games when I was younger...now MY kids are playing them instead of the Playstation and Xbox...they don't have the graphics like the new-age games do...but still it is fun. It's entertainment!

If you are a fan of the realistic looking new games, you won't be very pleased with this. All the games are classics, and they all look like classics. That doesn't mean the games arn't fun, they are very fun.
The joystick is very comfotable becasue it is small and the cord is long. There are two fire/jump buttons. One on the top of the joystick and one on the box part. This lets you choose what is more comfortable.

This is a pretty average console with some pretty average games and a few Atari 2600 hits. It is a fun game to play with a few catches.

First, the games. Some of these games are very good like Pitfall, spider fighter and Grand Prix, a few average games like Freeway and Crackpots, and there are a few lousy games like ice hockey.
Though the game selection is above average, it could have easily been better. It's missing some amazing Activision games like keystone Capers and H.E.R.O. Those could have been added just from a slight increase in memory.

Next is there is nothing new at all. If you already own these games on Atari 2600 it's not worth getting if it wasn't portable.

Third is durability. It is made out of cheap plastic that is not very durable at all. I left this in my car during hot weather and some of the plastic melted in top of the chip inside and ruined it.

Fourth is multiplayer, only a couple games are multiplayer: River Raid and Freeway. River Raid only has alternating multiplayer while Freeway 2 players can play at the same time.

Overall, this is a neat way to play some classic Activision Atari 2600 games, but you're much better off getting Activision Anthology for Gameboy Advance.

This is a great game. Although we play it so much, we go thru batteries once a month, it's sooooo worth it

This game is so much fun. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it to everyone that likes games.

The only bad thing about this plug n play game is there are only 10 games. The games play exactly like the Atari 2600 originals. The controls are very responsive. It's a true blast from the past! I bought this years ago at a truck stop near Christmas time and loved it immediately. It's a true remake of the classics.
I do wish tho that instead of using the Atari 2600 versions for River Raid and Pitfall that they would have used the "Intellivision" ones for they were much mich better and more fun, but still, this is a great low priced game sytem you'll enjoy.
There is a RARE vol.2 thats just as good if you can find it.
Vol.2 has the following games: Pitfall 2, Chopper Command, Pressure Cooker,Frostbite, Spider Fighter,
Kaboom, Seaquest, Fishing Derby, Barnstorming, & Robot Tank

He has only played with it the first few weeks he got it. I think it is cool, but now days they have x-box and playstation so the graphics on this is not what an older child finds cool. I love all the old game and this is nice because of no cartridges. The only plug n play my son really liked was the Pac Man and the frogger. He plays x-box and that may be why.

I bought this game for my grandchildren to play when they come over. I let them pick it out and we have truly enjoyed it.

On Xmas, my 2 brothers and I all got: Namco II: Ms Pac-Man with 5 TV Games
Since we didnt all want the same one, my mom exchanged the other two. I got this game. It is a stinker. All games are very boring, take no skill, sound is terrible. I love old games. I play original Nintendo all the time. If you want to get a good plug and play game, Go with the Namco II. I am selling this one because it is very boring. My stars above are not exaggerated. I played it for less than 5 minutes (enough time to test all games) and then didnt play it again. The Namco II has much funner games.
