Double Trouble is a new US Skylanders character release for 2012 but don't pay over $7.99 retail for it (anything higher outside of Toy's R Us retail $9.99 is a 3rd party inflated price). Also, they have released Double Trouble, Whirlwind and Drill Sargeant (formerly Target and Wal-Mart exclusives through 12/31/11 on the last 2) for those who didn't get those before Thanksgiving .. the retail for the 3 character packs is $19.99 .........most retail stores have no stock of the character packs right now (early January) but they are coming by the end of the month ........

WILD EYED DOUBLE TROUBLE WITH TARGET SEAKING BEAM AND EXPLOSIVE PERSONALITY,

Double Trouble is an odd sort of floating totem pole that says "OOOOOOOAHH" along with some other grunts and groans throughout the game. He belongs to the magic elemental group along with Spyro etc. He spins his green eyes as his energy beam (emitted from the top of his staff) continuously shoots and locks onto his targets. He reminds me a little of Voodood in a way.. I honestly was a little disappointed when I first started playing with him. Then eventually he got upgraded to having three cloned images that float around with him and explode which is sort of like Stealth Elf. I thought OK..sort of cool, but I'm not very impressed... then I got the magic bomb upgrade and it's a lot like a ground pound effect that wipes out all the nearby targets all the way around him. This upgrade makes him much more powerful in the boss battles. I started to play with him a little more and the other thing that stands out is that he can surprisingly hit some targets slightly above him i.e.; like the trees in "Falling Forest" even though the aim of the beam seems to generally slant downward. With his soul gem found in Chapter 22, he can eventually float over water.
