Excellent scholarly resource,
By K. Lowe "Reader of the Open Range" (the Midwest, a satellite in the Rusty Way) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Actor and His Double: Mime and Movement for the Theatre of Cruelty (Paperback)
I checked this book out because it was considered one of the best overviews of Artaud's philosophy. I think it hits the mark well. I have no idea who wrote that last review, but he's out of his mind. I found this book thought provoking and revealing, and a good foray into studying the mind of a rather complex artist.

This book is utterly . . . what's the word? Unhelpful? Moronic? Wrong? I have rarely read a work so mistaken about its object of study. This is beyond bad - it threatens to weaken and distort an understanding of mime and Artaud. Blech.
