1.0 out of 5 stars This is sad, April 20, 2002

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! The Digital Movie Creator II will not work with AMD K7 chipsets and the Hollywood has been nothing but a headache. If you decide to insert a picture or a video clip into the middle of a timeline, forget it! You can do it if you want to move all of the pictures, transitions, video clips, etc. one at time, but this is extremely time consuming. I might as well still be using my old VCR set up. You cannot import audio only. You have to install you favorite song by moving your cable to your tape deck and record it with a video clip. Then you can split them appart and erase the video clip. Talk about a hassle. The Hollywood Bridge interface only works about half the time and when it quits, it is necessary to shut the system completely down and shut off all the power for about five minutes. When it is powered up again it will work (for a while). The tech support is full of people who have difficulty with the English language and so you're not sure about the advice your getting or if they understood you very well. It takes about 3-5 days to get e-mail answers and so far not a single one of them has fixed a single thing. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!

We purchased the Dazzle Digital Video Creater II. It has never worked properly and customer service is a joke. You will wait on hold for hours to reach tech support. They want you to use their web site for support but it takes days to get a response. Even after trying all of their suggestions our unit still does not work, but they will not let us send it back under the warranty until we get permission from another customer service number. Guess what, you wait on hold there for hours as well.

1.0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY FROM DAZZLE, June 6, 2002

Basic features never worked. Software is buggy. What a piece of junk!

I originally picked up their DVC product hoping to transfer my digital video tapes to DVD and make some edits for friends and family and transfer those to VHS. I was alarmed at the amount of bugs in the MovieStar software. Features rarely worked as advertised or at all on both my WindowsME and WindowsXP systems. One of the main features I paid for, transfer via analog to my VHS or T.V. never worked. I assumed it was a hardware failure and exchanged it for a new unit at a local store. Still never worked. Tried versions 4.2.2, 4.2.3, and 4.4.4 of their software. Still no go. Bought DVD Creation Station 200 with MovieStar 5. Still didn't work. Called completely hopeless technical support. After no troubleshooting and lots of hold time (on my dime) they told me to download version 5.1 (150 megs!). When I asked what it fixed, they couldn't tell me and swore they'd never seen this problem before. Desperate, I downloaded their the new version ... even worse than 5.0! Unsigned drivers have me thinking Dazzle never passed even the most basic testing standards. I'm taking it back and staying away from Dazzle... as far away as I can.
