A well-heeled extremist group is bent on taking over America and establishing a theocracy. The inner circle of this organization call themselves The Apostles. After disappointing political failures, they employ computer scientists to hijack the Internet and secretly introduce mind control over Web browsers.
While covering a tent revival meeting in a small New England town, Joe Salvatore, a local reporter, inadvertently discovers a document that tips him off about The Apostles and their diabolical plot. While the forces of evil have a field day in cyberspace -- and in American politics -- Salvatore tries to derail The Apostles, but finds himself thwarted at every turn.
