'I once wrote a tune called Home Again where I questioned the old adage 'you can't go home again'. On a certain level it's true. Returning to the past is not possible. This album, for me, was a chance to recapture a period of time and music that had slipped away. Back in high school in the 60's, I knew of this already legendary guitarist from Green Brook, the next town over. Ed Stasium was the first cat around who developed an interest and expertise in the recording process. One day he asked me to bring my drums over to his house to lay down some tracks. I'm proud to say I'm the first guy Ed recorded. Since then, Ed has had an illustrious career as a producer/engineer, and so it is fitting on this lost debut album to come full circle and have him mix several of these tunes. So maybe this once I can quietly sneak back - at least in my head - to the garage on Kenyon Avenue in Plainfield, where I had my big upright piano, Ludwig gold sparkle drum set and a couple guitars and amps, and regenerate some actual sighs...' -Richard X. What type of world do we inhabit when the Britneys and K-Feds and Idols get airplay, while truly talented people such as Richard X Heyman goes ignored? This is rock informed by the Beatles, Brian Wilson, Elvis Costello, Graham Parker and many other greats. You can hear Richard's influences, but he makes each song his own. This remarkable talent needs to be heard by more people. If you buy this cd and his others you will not be disappointed. Buy this now!!!!

"Actual Sighs" is another pop and rock classic of twenty diverse tunes that are all perfectly crafted. Richard X. Heyman plays several instruments and is a very erudite and catchy lyricist. Since very few people know who Heyman is; his sound is a hybrid of Todd Rundgreen, Steely Dan, XTC and Elvis Costello. He has been revered by music critics for nearly two decades. His affinity for perfectionism has limited his CD output. Other great CD's by Richard X. Heyman include "Cornerstone" and "Basic Glee". In actuality all fans of quality music must purchase "Cornerstone" and "Basic Glee". They will compel you buy his other CDs.
