Except... The lights on both clocks are failing. The 0 looks like an upside down U and the 2 looks like a ?
Wish just for once someone would take a great concept and make a good product.
Disappointed with Acu Rite.
I like this clock, has a high low dimmer switch on front, easy to read numbers, a large snooze button. Not sure why the description says it takes two AA batteries not included, it comes with batteries preinstalled, this what allows it to keep the time and date that are preset at the factory. This clock is really simple to use, not sure how some managed to turn it into rocket science.
Then after about a month of daily use, I noticed that the alarm light remained "on" even after I turned the alarm off. I thought it was a glitch in the light sensor until the alarm, which was turned off, started buzzing at 5 AM on a Saturday morning. At that point, I would have returned the clock if I'd still had the box but I didn't. To actually get the alarm to stay turned off, I had to put a rubber band around the clock to hold the button "down" and "off."
Yesterday morning, the alarm went off an hour earlier than it was supposed to. I double checked and it was set correctly. That's when I realized that my "automatic" clock had re-set itself to the "eastern" time zone. We live in the "central" time zone. (and no, the button on the bottom of the clock had "not" been switched to the "eastern" setting. I checked.) This is without a doubt the worst alarm clock I've ever owned. I threw it in the trash. If I could give it "0" stars, I would. It was a complete waste of money.

My favorite clock. Plug it in, set your time zone and leave it alone. It keeps time beautifully, and looks good too.Published 5 months ago by Marooned
