I don't understand the positive reviews on this silly wrist strap. It is VERY uncomfortable and scratchy. Even if I did were it longer than 5 minutes, it is impossible to figure out if you have it on the right spot to be effective.

I am prone to motion sickness, whether it be car, plane, boat or train. I usually use dramamine but it makes me so sluggish and drowsy. My first experience with the SCAT wrist straps was on a train. Normally all the bouncing around would make my stomach do flip flops but with the straps fitted around the right wrist, I showed no signs of nausea. My brain was sensing the movement but the stomach was calm. My next experience was on an airplane flying home in some turbulent weather. Although it was a scary experience, my stomach did not get the nausea signals from the brain at all. This is a remarkable product. I always keep one with me at all times, cause you never know when you may need it. It takes a few minutes for the effect to start working and once taken off, everything goes back to normal shortly after that.

I was skeptical at first about ordering these because I've been getting car sick since I was a little girl, but when I realized it was accupressure, I had a good feeling it would work. I truly have a new found respect for the acupunture and accupressure methods. I have tried them both and I am a believer. Any whoo, no more motion sickness and it actually gives you a calm euphoric feeling. I am very pleased.

I went on a week long cruise to Alaska in May 2010. I did not have any sea sickness on the trip. In fact, I bought this product for my husband. He didn't have any issues either.
But then.
When we got home, I felt like I was still on the ship. I was rocking and rolling. Finally I remembered I had these bracelets in the suitcase. I put them both on and remarkably, I began to feel better. I tried to take one off the next morning, and immediately began to feel woozy again. So I put it back on and felt better. Amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Saved my sanity with 24/7 "morning" sickness, July 19, 2009
This review is from: Acupressure SCAT Motion-Aid Wrist Straps W/Magnets in Tan from AME (Health and Beauty)
At the end of my rope with SEVERE nausea day and night, a band like this was my constant companion. If I ever forgot to put it on, my nausea was MUCH more unbearable. It did not cure my sickness but took the edge off to the extent that I could not live without it. This was 14 years ago.
You have to position the pressure bump just right or the band is useless. They call it the P6 pressure point. For me it is about where you feel your pulse.
I now hold my children's wrists and apply pressure in that P6 spot and it really seems to help with nausea when they are sick. At least 2 out of 3 of my children report a real difference. I plan to order bands for them because my hand gets tired. I'd give it 5 stars personally, but I guess it may not work for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for my Pregnant Daughter, February 18, 2011

This review is from: Acupressure SCAT Motion-Aid Wrist Straps W/Magnets in Tan from AME (Health and Beauty)
My daughter is expecting her 3rd child. She always has horrible morning sickness with every pregnancy. She tried the crackers when first waking up, but it didn't work and neither did drinking Ginger Ale. Everything made her sick for the first few months. I researched the wrist bands by various companies because I felt so bad for my daughter being sick all the time and having 2 young children to run after. I saw some bands that were cheaper and some that costs alot of money. I decided on these. They have velcro so they are adjustable. She didn't even know I ordered them.LOL. She called me the day they arrived to ask if I sent them. Anyways, she put them on and almost instantly, she started feeling relief. She said they work very good for her. Not 100% free of nausea, but pretty darn close. She takes them off to shower and wash dishes. She said she starts getting nauseated right away when they are off. She also takes them off when she goes to bed. She is okay while she is sleeping. She puts them back on as soon as she gets up in the morning. They may not work for everyone, but they do work for my daughter...

my always-sick friend has been using these for several months and I would say 85% of the times the sickness never came.. so, I think these work just ok for staying drugs free.

My job requires me to go on cruises, so I need something to prevent sea sickness. Since I don't want to take sea sickness medicines, this will be the perfect solution. I haven't use it yet, but my friends told me this works well. I'll add more reviews after I actually used this.
