I first heard of Cassia Eller when I was travelling in Brazil. While I was there, Cassia Eller died, so there was quite a bit of media on the singer. I bought this CD to hear what all the fuss was about and immiediately it become clear to me what a tragedy her death was; her music is fabulous. She sings songs in Portuguese that range from the heart-wrenching (O segundo sol) to the rocking (Va morar com o diablo). She even does an old French song and a Beatles tune. She has a strong voice that should be heard by everyone.

Her voice is undoubtedly special, and the band is brilliant. It is a pleasure to listen to this CD. I love her singing in French!

I heard about this wonderful musician by listening to a special program on KCRW (Santa Monica, CA)on your not so typical/rarely heard Brazilian Music..so, I buy it..What a wonderful surprise. I don't speak Portuguese and love to hear the language. It will please almost anyone's taste. I highly recommend this CD. She is an incredible musician and the production quality of this CD is great. It is incredibly sad to hear it too, knowing I will never hear her sign it in person. This is truly a loss for Brazil and the world...

I just got this CD and I truly love it. What makes this such a bittersweet review is that Cassia died at the end of last year. She will be missed really even before her talent had been discovered here in the United States. We are going to miss you, Cassia.
